What is Magnesium Oil?

Magnesium oil isn’t actually an “oil” after all, but instead was coined as such due to the high saturation of magnesium chloride in water, which presents itself in an “oil-like” texture.

Where Does Magnesium Oil Come From?

Ancient Minerals ultra pure magnesium oil is extracted from the Ancient Zechstein Seabed in Europe, 1600 to 2000 meters deep in the interior of the Earth. Ocean Minerals pure magnesium oil is harvested from the rich, clean currents of the Pacific Ocean. Unlike other filtration methods that involve heat which can damage the delicate natural energy of ocean derived products, Ocean Minerals has been filtered under cold processing methods to preserve that integrity.

What is the difference between Ancient and Ocean Minerals Magnesium Oil?

They are both the same strength and deliver over 500mg of elemental magnesium per teaspoon or 3300mg per 30ml (1oz)  The Ancient Minerals is regarded as the purest magnesium chloride available today.  It is clear and odourless.  It can sprayed all over the body including under make-up. And it is great to brush teeth with.

The Ocean Minerals has a golden colour and a slight "beachy" or “seaweed” smell for the first 10 minutes of application. It dissipates after that.  Many people prefer to buy a "twin set" - using the Ancient Minerals for the upper body and the Ocean Minerals for the lower body, baths and foot baths.

How do I use Ancient or Ocean Minerals Magnesium Oil?

In three ways:

1. DIRECTLY ON THE SKIN. Simply spraying and rubbing magnesium chloride oil directly into the skin in concentrated form is the most economical method of application and offers the most benefits. It is also most effective as a massage oil and can be mixed 50/50 with any carrier oil. Either Ancient Minerals or Ocean Minerals magnesium oil can be sprayed/rubbed into the skin

2. WARM BATH. Adding 150ml of Ocean Minerals magnesium oil  to a relaxing warm bath provides a relaxing and health enhancing “magnesium soak.”  It detoxes the body of unwanted heavy metals, acids and toxins in a far superior way to other salt type baths

3. WARM WATER FOOT SOAK. Just 60ml of Ocean Minerals magnesium oil added to a warm water foot soak - and the water can be reused for 4-5 days - provides many of the same benefits as a full tub bath. Plus a sound night's sleep is reported by most people

How much do I use?

For therapeutic benefit, usually 15-30ml is applied to the skin each day. Plus we recommend 3-5 foot baths/week for the first few weeks to boost magnesium intake and to assist flushing out toxins. It can applied anytime of the day or evening.  If desired, it can be rinsed off after 30 mins as the magnesium has been transported through the skin by then.
